By now you would without a doubt have heard of the Angry Birds game? Well that is unless you own an iPhone, well you can now experience the amazing world and endless fun of these critters in a board game by Matel – Angry Birds Knock On Wood.

Especially good for kids who are too young to have their own iPhone or play the pc version, this game stays true to the original digital version.

The basic premise of Angry Birds Knock On Wood Board Game is you have birds versus pigs. Players representing pigs draw a card which has an illustration of the way in which they need to set out their fort with supplied building material and where to place the cute plastic green pigs that come with the game.

The Angry birds representative then picks a card which will tell them how many and what type of birds they are allowed to launch using a provided catapult in an attempted to knock all the pigs out of the fort. If successful the birds player receives points, if not the pig player receives the points. First to break the one thousand point barrier wins the game.

There are four levels of cards, which go up in difficulty, in terms of both constructions of the fort and the amount / types of birds that can be used.

The game is a lot of fun and encourages hand eye coordination when launching the beautifully crafted birds figurines and basic construction for the player representing the pigs.

Matel are a master of board game development and Angry birds is no exception, due to the crash bang nature of the game, you may be concerned that it will last long, well fear not the figurines and construction materials are robust and well last many, many years.

It’s a great game for all ages, but due to projectile the nature of the game and size of some of the objects it is recommend for ages 5 and up.
